We are very lucky to have a pretty rural parish church located in rural Lancashire. It was built in 1889, and would suit a small, intimate country wedding. Our church is ideally situated close to junction 33 of the M6, and is located just off the A6, so it is very easily reached by car, and there is a good sized car park directly opposite the church.
We have a traditional church organ, and in common with many small churches, there is a single church bell.
Ours is one of the few churches in the local area that still has regular flower arrangements to celebrate the seasons and events here, adding extra beauty to the church’s simple yet lovely interior.
The church has traditional pews, which can seat 90-100 guests comfortably. There is a seating area suitable for guests with limited mobility.
If you would like to get married or celebrate a baptism at St. James, in the first instance please get in touch with the vicar. Contact details can be found here.
Please do browse around the rest of the website to see more pictures of our church.
Don’t just come for one celebratory event, though! Why not make us your family church? Come and join us in celebrating God’s amazing love on Sunday mornings, and be part of our church family growing in God’s love together!
